Upcoming IABS-EU / Inno4Vac Workshop: “Refining the Regulatory Context of CHIMs”

Inno4Vac’s Work Package 11 (WP11), in collaboration with the International Alliance for Biological Standardization (IABS-EU), is proud to host a workshop focused on Controlled Human Infection Models (CHIMs) and their regulatory and ethical dimensions.

Date & Location: October 17, 2025 — Leiden, The Netherlands

This invitation-only workshop brings together leading researchers, industry experts, regulators, and ethicists under the Inno4Vac initiative. It aims to:

• Refine frameworks around CHIM-related regulatory and practical issues.

• Explore the potential use of CHIMs (RSV, C. difficile, influenza) in accelerating vaccine development.

• Discuss ethical, regulatory, and scientific challenges, such as GMP alignment, bystander safety, and community engagement iabs.org.
